Safety

• Wear eye, ear and dust protection when cutting wood, metal, plastic or construction materials.
• Use the correct reciprocating saw blade for the material and make sure it is fully locked into the chuck before starting.
• Remove the battery before changing blades, adjusting the saw table or fitting the extraction adapter.
• Keep hands clear of the cutting zone and allow the blade to stop fully before setting the saw down.
• Support the workpiece properly and stay alert for hidden wires, pipes or fasteners during demolition and opening work.
• Use extraction where possible when cutting dusty sheet materials or construction boards.
• Take extra care when flush cutting near walls, ceilings and floors, especially when using a blade rotated by 180°.
• Do not touch a blade immediately after cutting, as it may be hot. Use the contact-free blade ejection system to help avoid injury.
