The MB 40-Set is built for precision drilling away from a stationary drill press. It allows vertical holes, end face holes, System 32 hole series, shelf support holes and cupboard hinge drilling with more control, better alignment and repeatable depth accuracy.

Extra Information

The MB 40-Set is designed for compatible Festool cordless drills and cordless percussion drills with FastFix holder.
Suitable for CXS/TXS 12, CXS/TXS 18, TPC 18/4, TDC 18/4, C 18 and T 18 models with FastFix holder.
Not suitable for older CXS/TXS models without the required FastFix compatibility.
The guide rail adapter can be attached to Festool guide rails without tools for drilling accurately in a straight line.
The depth stop is adjustable up to 50mm and displays the setting in millimetres and inches.
The dust extraction connection is suitable for dust class M extractors with D 27 hose connection.

Pro Tips

Use the hole series pins for repeat cabinet holes in the 32mm system. Set it once and work consistently along the row.
Connect dust extraction when drilling hinge cup holes or drilling into panels to keep the mark visible and reduce dust build-up.
Use the guide rail adapter when drilling a straight row across a long panel or wide workpiece.
For cupboard hinges, set the depth stop carefully before drilling the first hole and test on scrap material when possible.
Use the rubberised base and alignment markings to position the attachment accurately before plunging into the material.

How to Use

Confirm that your Festool drill is compatible with the MB 40-Set FastFix holder.
Fit the compatible Festool drill to the mobile drilling attachment using the FastFix connection.
Insert the required drill bit using the CENTROTEC chuck or suitable compatible chuck setup.
Set the drilling depth using the readable depth adjustment scale.
Position the base plate using the alignment markings on the workpiece.
Use the stop set, guide rail adapter or hole series pins where repeat accuracy is required.
Connect dust extraction to the D 27 connection when drilling dusty materials.
Hold the attachment firmly, allow the drill to reach speed and plunge smoothly through the drilling stroke.
Release the pressure, allow the bit to clear the hole and reposition for the next drilling point.
