VERMONT SALES CELEBRATES 38 YEARS

Another milestone for SA's leading tool supplier

South Africa's number one tool company, Vermont Sales, has now supplied Southern African industry with the power tools and accessories it has required to get any job done for 38 years. Established humbly in August 1985, Vermont has grown to today offer over 25,000 products from 50 blue chip suppliers through more than 3,000 outlets across the subcontinent.

A success story forged on hard work and best principles, Vermont Sales is built on a strong ethos and principles. Established by Roland and wife Mindi Hunt, Vermont Sales began distributing tools to the hardware trade in 1985. Now 38 years later, Ronald and Mindi remain fully entrenched in the company's ongoing success. “It's been an incredible journey,” Mindi Hunt reflects. “Working with amazing people, both our staff, and suppliers and customers, has been a special experience we will cherish forever.”

Vermont Sales grew quickly, as son Ryan and daughter Angela joined the team to drive the business into its corporate future. Continued growth off pioneering principles soon saw the Vermont move into its state of the art Midrand facility, from where the company today runs a huge operation. “We supply anything that makes a tool work,” managing director Ryan Hunt explains “Whether it's the tool itself, or it is anything that is required to operate it, Vermont Sales will have the tool or the component ready to get that job done.

“Our best value tool brands are hand-picked and torture tested to destruction at our intensive test centre, before they ever go on sale. All products are freely available via our vast Southern African sales network and fully backed by our sales and backup force.” Vermont Sales' many brands, from Tork Craft to RawlPlug, Olfa, Alpen, and GAV, to Festool, SawStop and Kreg, and many more, are developed to their own identities.
