OLFA SAFETY CUTTERS? EXACTLY THAT!
Japanese OLFA safety knives put the user at heart
You get knives and cutters, and then you get quality Japanese OLFA safety knives and cutters. The difference? Exactly that, safety! OLFA safety cutters feature various safety mechanisms like self-retracting or concealed blades to prevent injury to the operator.
Depending on the application, key safety cutter features include durable, ergonomic handles, ultra-sharp stainless steel blades, or a blade channel for enhanced safety. Some safety cutter models are also designed for ambidextrous use and may include extra features like a tape splitter, or a lanyard hole.
Among many OLFA safety firsts, self-retracting blades automatically retract if they lose contact with the cutting surface. Concealed blades are hidden within a protected channel or housing to minimize exposure, while ultra-sharp stainless steel blades provide precise cutting with less force, leading to longer blade life and reduced operator fatigue.
Specialty blades include rounded tip cutters to open boxes without damaging contents, or hook blades to safely cut shrink wrap and strapping. OLFA blade and cutter handles and bodies furthermore feature custom made ergonomic handles' safe, secure, and comfortable grip and are also often made of a durable fiberglass-reinforced resin or similar hardy construction.
OLFA Safety knives include designs with fully or semi-automatic blade retraction, while others have concealed blades to protect from exposure. OLFA Food Safety knives boast features specific to that industry. Many OLFA models also have an oversized loop to conveniently hang or tether to a lanyard. Some OLFA blades are even fully disposable.
Among OLFA's broad Safety Knife range are the semi-automatic self-retracting SK-4 and similar compact SK-7, tape splitter SK-9, and stainless steel SK-14 cutters. The fully automatic safety line-up includes the basic SK-6 and self-retracting SK-8. The concealed blade line-up has the quick-change SK-16, disposable SK-15 and replaceable blade SK-10 devices, while the PK-1 is a disposable bag cutter.
