Tork Craft 19 Piece Flexible Shaft & Nutsetter Set

At a Glance: 19-piece hand-driving set with a 300mm flexible shaft for reaching awkward and confined spaces.

The Tork Craft JJBS18 Flexible Shaft & Nutsetter Set gives you the extra reach and flexibility needed when ordinary screwdriver handles cannot access the fastener directly. The 300mm flexible shaft bends to different angles, helping you work around obstructions and reach recessed nuts, bolts and hex-drive screws in confined spaces. Supplied with a magnetic bit holder, ten Cr-V insert bits and seven metric nut drivers, this versatile 19-piece set is ideal for manufacturing, construction, maintenance and DIY applications.

Flexible access for awkward fastening jobs

The bendable shaft transfers manual turning force around obstacles and into hard-to-reach areas. Its 1/4-inch male and female hex connections work with the supplied accessories, while the magnetic bit holder helps retain compatible insert bits during use.

Product highlights

  • Flexible 300mm shaft: Bends to different angles for improved access in confined or obstructed spaces.
  • Versatile 19-piece selection: Includes commonly used slotted, square, Phillips, Pozi and Torx bits together with seven metric nut drivers.
  • Durable Cr-V insert bits: Chrome Vanadium construction provides dependable durability for regular manual fastening work.
  • Magnetic bit holder: Helps hold compatible insert bits securely and provides an additional 60mm of working length.
  • Standard hex connections: The flexible shaft features a 1/4-inch male hex drive and a 1/4-inch female hex drive.
  • Convenient hand-tool solution: Recommended for use with a suitable screwdriver drive handle.

Extra Information

  • This flexible shaft is intended for controlled manual use with a suitable screwdriver drive handle.
  • The flexible shaft and supplied accessories use standard 1/4-inch hex connections.
  • The flexible shaft is not suitable for use with impact drivers or drilling machines.
  • Avoid sharp bends or excessive torque, as these may damage the internal flexible shaft.
  • Take regular cooling breaks during extended use to prevent the shaft from overheating.

Pro Tips

  • Shape the flexible shaft into the gentlest possible curve before applying torque. A smooth curve transfers force more efficiently and places less strain on the shaft.
  • Start each fastener by hand where possible to reduce the risk of cross-threading.
  • Use the exact bit profile or nut-driver size required by the fastener to minimise slipping and damage.
  • Keep one hand on the outer sleeve to steady the shaft while turning the screwdriver handle with the other hand.
  • For stubborn or heavily tightened fasteners, use a suitable rigid hand tool instead of applying excessive force through the flexible shaft.

How to Use

  • Inspect the flexible shaft, magnetic bit holder and selected accessory for wear or damage before use.
  • Select the insert bit or nut driver that matches the fastener exactly.
  • Fit the 1/4-inch male end of the flexible shaft securely into a suitable screwdriver drive handle.
  • Insert the selected nut driver into the female end of the shaft, or fit the magnetic bit holder before installing an insert bit.
  • Confirm that every connection is fully seated and secure before applying force.
  • Guide the shaft into the required position using a smooth curve without sharply kinking or twisting it.
  • Hold the flexible shaft firmly and turn the screwdriver handle slowly while maintaining alignment with the fastener.
  • Stop if the shaft begins to slip, bind or become hot, and allow it to cool before continuing.
  • Remove and clean the accessories after use, then store the set in a clean, dry location.

Features

  • Bendable shaft: The flexible construction can be positioned at different angles to reach around obstructions.
  • Comprehensive bit selection: Includes ten 25mm insert bits covering five popular drive profiles.
  • Metric nut drivers: Seven sizes are supplied for driving suitable nuts, bolts and hex-head fasteners.
  • Chrome Vanadium bits: The insert bits are manufactured from Cr-V steel for extended working life and durability.
  • Protective outer sleeve: The steel flexible shaft is covered by a plastic sleeve for comfortable handling.
  • Compact packaging: Supplied on a hanging card with blister packaging for organised display and storage.

Benefits

  • Improved access: Reach fasteners located behind panels, around corners or inside narrow spaces where a straight handle cannot be aligned.
  • One set for multiple fasteners: The mixed insert-bit and nut-driver selection reduces the need to carry several separate accessories.
  • Controlled manual fastening: Use with a screwdriver drive handle for better control when working in delicate or restricted areas.
  • Quick accessory changes: The standard 1/4-inch hex format makes it easy to change between the supplied bits, nut drivers and magnetic holder.

Application

  • Manual installation and removal of suitable nuts, bolts and hex-head screws.
  • Reaching fasteners in confined, recessed or obstructed spaces.
  • Furniture assembly, cabinet work and general household maintenance.
  • Manufacturing and construction fastening tasks.
  • Workshop maintenance and DIY projects.
  • Use with a suitable screwdriver drive handle.

Safety

  • Wear suitable eye protection and protective gloves when carrying out fastening work.
  • Inspect the flexible shaft and all accessories before every use. Do not use damaged, cracked, twisted or excessively worn components.
  • Ensure the shaft, holder and selected accessory are securely connected to prevent accidental disconnection during use.
  • Keep the selected bit or nut driver correctly aligned with the fastener to reduce slipping and possible injury.
  • Hold the shaft firmly and keep hands clear of sharp edges, pinch points and moving components.
  • Do not use the flexible shaft with an impact driver or drilling machine.
  • Do not apply excessive torque or force the shaft into a sharp bend.
  • Avoid continuous use that may cause overheating. Stop regularly and allow the shaft to cool.
  • Always select the correct accessory and hand tool for the job.
