Tork Craft Masonry Cutting Disc 115 x 2.5 x 22.22 mm

At a Glance: 115 mm masonry cutting disc with a 2.5 mm thickness and resin-bonded silicon carbide abrasive for cutting brick, concrete and stone.

Get your masonry cutting projects moving with the Tork Craft ABR115M-4. Designed for compatible 115 mm angle grinders, this abrasive cutting disc uses silicon carbide held in a resin bond to cut through brick, concrete and stone. Its 2.5 mm thickness makes it a practical choice for sizing masonry pieces, trimming material during renovations and making straight cuts for building work. Whether you are preparing bricks to fit an opening or cutting stone for a repair, this disc brings a dedicated masonry cutting option to your grinder. It is intended for cutting with the disc edge; use the correct cutting guard, suitable dust extraction and a steady cutting technique to get the job done safely.

Silicon carbide abrasive for masonry cutting

The abrasive formulation is selected for masonry materials. Silicon carbide grains perform the cutting action while the resin bond holds the abrasive together. The ABR115M-4 is a cutting disc, and its 2.5 mm thickness does not make it suitable for side grinding or surface finishing.

Product highlights

Dedicated masonry application: Designed for cutting brick, concrete and stone.
115 mm diameter: Suitable for angle grinders approved to use this disc size and mounting arrangement.
2.5 mm thickness: Clearly specified cutting profile for selecting the correct disc for your job.
Resin-bonded silicon carbide: Combines a masonry abrasive with a resin bond.
Maximum speed of 13,300 rpm: Check the grinder's rated maximum speed against the disc rating before use.

Compatibility

Angle grinders: Compatible with suitable 115 mm angle grinders that accept the disc's bore, thickness and approved flange arrangement.
Mounting size: The supplier specifies a 22.23 mm bore, also listed in the product title as 22.22 mm. This is the nominal 7/8-inch mounting size.
Workpiece materials: Intended for masonry cutting, including brick, concrete and stone.
Cutting accessories: Use the grinder manufacturer's approved cutting guard and, where available, a compatible dust extraction shroud.

Extra Information

Bore measurement: The product title states 22.22 mm, while the supplier specifications and disc label state 22.23 mm. Both describe the nominal 7/8-inch mounting size; confirm the correct fit with your grinder's mounting flanges.
Abrasive cutting action: The disc removes material through abrasion and gradually wears down during use.
Cutting capacity: Available cutting depth depends on the grinder, guard, flange arrangement and remaining disc diameter.
Dust control: Cutting brick, concrete and stone can release respirable crystalline silica. Use suitable extraction and appropriate respiratory protection.
Storage: Keep discs dry and protected from impact, moisture and excessive heat. Observe any expiry date marked on the disc.

Important: This disc is designed for masonry cutting only. Do not use its side face for grinding, and do not twist it in the cut.

Pro Tips

Allow for the cut width: Mark the finished dimension clearly and position the cut on the waste side of the line.
Start with a controlled pass: Establish the cut line with a shallow pass before increasing depth, keeping the disc aligned throughout.
Support the material: Secure the workpiece so it cannot move or close onto the disc as the cut progresses.
Let the abrasive work: Apply steady, moderate feed pressure. Forcing the grinder increases the risk of binding and disc damage.
Clean up with dust control: Use a suitable dust extractor for fine masonry dust. Avoid dry sweeping or blowing dust into the air.

How to Use

Check suitability: Confirm that the material, disc diameter, bore and thickness suit the grinder. The grinder's rated maximum speed must not exceed the disc's 13,300 rpm rating.
Disconnect the power: Switch off and unplug the grinder, or remove its battery, before fitting the disc.
Inspect and mount: Reject cracked, chipped, damaged or expired discs. Fit the disc with the correct flanges and tighten it according to the grinder manufacturer's instructions.
Prepare the grinder: Fit the approved cutting guard and auxiliary handle. Connect a compatible cutting shroud and suitable dust extractor where the equipment permits.
Prepare the work area: Mark the cut and secure the material with suitable support. Before cutting walls, check for concealed electrical cables and pipes.
Start safely: Wear appropriate protective equipment, hold the grinder with both hands and run it clear of the workpiece. Check for abnormal vibration before beginning the cut.
Make the cut: Allow the grinder to reach operating speed, then guide the disc along the marked line with steady pressure. Keep it straight and avoid twisting or sideways loading.
Finish safely: Withdraw the disc from the cut, switch off and wait until it has stopped completely before putting the grinder down. Disconnect the power before removing or replacing the disc.

Features

Silicon carbide abrasive: Selected for cutting masonry materials.
Resin bond: Holds the abrasive grains together within the disc.
115 x 2.5 mm disc: Compact diameter with a 2.5 mm cutting profile.
Nominal 7/8-inch bore: Supplier specification of 22.23 mm, listed as 22.22 mm in the product name.
Cutting-only design: Intended for straight cuts using the disc edge.

Benefits

Choose the right abrasive: A dedicated masonry disc helps you match your cutting accessory to brick, concrete and stone.
Useful for building and renovation: Suitable for preparing masonry pieces to fit planned sizes and openings.
Practical grinder accessory: Adds masonry cutting capability to a compatible 115 mm angle grinder.
Clear selection details: Published disc dimensions and speed markings help you check suitability before installation.

Application

Cutting bricks to size for building and repair work.
Making straight cuts in concrete within the grinder's permitted cutting capacity.
Cutting stone pieces for fitting and renovation tasks.
Making cuts for masonry wall chasing where the grinder, guard and dust extraction arrangement are approved for the operation.

Safety

Wear eye, ear and respiratory protection. Use safety glasses with a suitable face shield, hearing protection and respiratory protection appropriate for masonry and silica dust.
Use suitable dust extraction. Respiratory protection must fit correctly and form part of an effective dust control arrangement.
Wear suitable gloves, protective footwear and close-fitting clothing. Keep loose clothing, jewellery and hair away from rotating parts.
Keep the approved cutting guard and auxiliary handle fitted. Hold the grinder firmly with both hands.
Never exceed the disc's 13,300 rpm maximum speed. Check the rating marked on the actual disc before use.
Inspect the disc before fitting it. Do not use a cracked, chipped, damaged or expired disc, and never alter its mounting hole.
Cut with the disc edge only. Do not side grind, bend, twist or force the disc through the material.
If the disc binds, switch off and hold the grinder still until rotation stops. Correct the cause before continuing, and do not restart with the disc trapped in the cut.
Check walls for concealed cables and pipes before cutting. Keep bystanders clear of debris and the dust exposure area.
Do not introduce water unless both the disc and grinder are specifically approved for wet cutting.
Wait for the disc to stop completely before placing the grinder down. Disconnect the power before accessory changes or adjustments.
