Safety

• Read the operating instructions and safety information before using the saw.
• Wear suitable eye, ear and dust protection when cutting.
• Keep both hands on the saw and keep hands clear of the blade path.
• Use only suitable saw blades with the correct diameter, bore and specification for the machine.
• Make sure the battery pack is securely locked into the saw before use.
• Set the correct cutting depth before cutting and avoid unnecessary blade exposure.
• Support the workpiece properly to prevent binding, movement or kickback.
• Use the guide rail system correctly when making guided cuts.
• Allow the blade to reach full speed before entering the material.
• Do not force the saw through the material; guide it steadily and allow the blade to cut.
• Allow the blade to stop fully before setting the saw down or removing the battery.
• Remove the battery pack before changing blades, cleaning or carrying out maintenance.
• Use dust extraction to reduce airborne dust and improve visibility of the cutting area.
• Charge batteries only with compatible Festool chargers and keep battery contacts clean and dry.
